Principle 1: Recovery is measured in Years

Principle 1: Recovery is measured in years

Most men who join our membership have one question front of mind:

"How long will I have erectile dysfunction?"

This 'will it/won't it' thinking can cause a lot of stress, and I've noticed the relief when this question is clearly answered.

So let's start right there.

Watch this video (3 minutes) to understand why you have ED, and what you need to know about timelines and progress.

Note: this video refers to prostate surgery, see below for radiation/hormone therapy.

What if you've also (or only) had hormone and/or radiation therapy...?

Erection changes can also happen after hormone therapy or radiation therapy.

These treatments affect the body in different ways, and both can influence erectile function.

Hormone therapy lowers testosterone, so libido and arousal signals often drop. Erections may become weaker or stop altogether. These changes usually begin within the first few months of treatment.

Some recovery is possible once hormones begin returning to normal, although timing varies for each person.

Radiation therapy can affect the blood vessels and nerves that support erections. Changes often appear gradually, sometimes 6-18 months after treatment, and can continue to evolve.

Nocturnal erections are an important marker of penile tissue health. Penile rehabilitation is recommended for anyone who has reduced or absent nocturnal erections, regardless of treatment type.

So does this mini-course still apply to you? YES!

Even though surgery is often used as the case study example throughout this mini-course, the principles of erection rehabilitation are the same.

The same tools, habits, and techniques support blood flow, maintain tissue health, and help you create erections for sexual connection.

Inside The Hub, our private membership, there's a forum of men at every stage of life post prostate treatment. Whatever you're facing this month, someone there has likely already been through it.
