What’s really going on?

If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance your recovery hasn’t unfolded the way you expected or hoped. Maybe you're:

  • Following the rehab advice, but not seeing results

  • Using a pump, but it still feels awkward or ineffective

  • Feeling pressure to get things working again, but unsure where to begin

  • Wondering if it’s too late, or if this is just how things are now

It can feel incredibly isolating. And while there’s a lot of information out there, very little of it feels personal, practical, or reassuring.

But with the right guidance, community, and mindset, things can improve- often in ways that go beyond what you’ve been told to expect.

That’s why The Hub exists.

happy man and his wife sharing the great progress made from the a touchy subject membership

"I feel I have made more progress - both mentally and physically - in the last 6 months of being in the Hub, than in the three years before. It's all because of the information provided, the input from everyone else and the monthly webinars"

- Nick (prostate surgery, hormone therapy, and radiation)

💬 "What Our Members Say"

"The general chat and support I got from my hospital about sexual recovery has not been that great. I now feel more in control of my situation and life due to the help and support from The Hub."

- Dave (6 months post Prostatectomy)

"There is virtually nothing published about the detailed use of pumps. The forum and webinars are a great way to fill that information void in my recovery."

- Brad (3 years, Radiation Therapy/ADT)

"The webinar discussions have given me the confidence to experiment and I now have longer-lasting erections"

🙋‍♂️Frequently Asked Questions.

Is this only for men who've had prostate cancer?

Our members are predominantly men experiencing erectile dysfunction and associated sexual function challenges (such as arousal incontinence and change to orgasm) as a result of prostate cancer treatment.

Most of the men have had prostate cancer surgery (all types of nerve-sparing procedures, and across a vast timeline). We also have members going through radiation therapy and hormone therapy (and we have a 'Radiation & Hormone Treatment' Topic specifically dedicated to the unique intricacies of this experience).

That being said, we also have a few members experiencing ED from other causes such as post TURP procedure, or as a result of diabetes, heart disease, and medications. They have reported that the Hub still a helpful experience for them.

Therefore, we do welcome men who are experiencing sexual dysfunction due to other causes. Just be aware that most of the discussions and webinars are related to sexual challenges for post-prostate cancer treatment.

Is the Hub for partners, and healthcare professionals too?

We are open to partners joining, and for couples to join together. You are absolutely welcome to share your experiences as a partner/partnership.

At this time, we would like to preserve the experience of the Hub just for men and partners/partnerships with lived experience.

If you are a healthcare professional, please reach out to Victoria who can direct you to other resources: victoria@atouchysubject.com

How private is the Hub? Will other members see my name?

The Hub forum is completely private; only other members can see your posts.

You can use whatever name you like in the forum, and can easily change it in settings.

During the webinars and group sessions, you will need to change your profile name in Zoom if you want to remain anonymous there. The webinar replays only record the video of the person being interviewed.

Will joining the Hub guarantee I'll get my natural erections back?

If your goal is to optimise your erection recovery post prostate cancer treatment, you're in the right spot.

Pretty much everyone in this forum wants that outcome, and that's what we're here to discuss frankly, openly, and in a proactive fashion.

Can this forum guarantee your outcome down the line in terms of recovering full erectile function?

Frankly, no. Anything promising you a 100% guaranteed fix for ED deserves a face-achingly slow eye roll.

Many factors influence erectile function restoration - that's why the phrase 'everyone's journey is different' cannot be overstated in this space. On the other hand...

Can this forum provide a plethora of tried-and-tested approaches to optimise the conditions necessary for erectile function restoration, as well as ideas and inspiration on how to restore your sex life regardless of function (and many other topics such as how to manage arousal incontinence)?

YES!!

There's already a backlog of helpful and proactive tips n tricks in the forum, shared by men in the same boat. The focus is on how to optimise erection health, and get a good firm erection regardless of function.

If you want to hear how others are going on their erectile function/sex life restoration journey, what's working and what's not so you can gain new ideas and stay motivated - then this is for you.

How will I know if I'll gain something useful for my situation?

Good question, you want to make sure you're investing your money in something that will lead to results.

To help, here's what I've noticed from the feedback of men who've been in the forum for at least 6 weeks:

  • Many found just the experience of being a part of something together useful. It helped them feel less anxious, alone, and confused about whether their experience was 'normal'.

  • Most found a new product/technique/new innovative intervention that then improved their rehab regime or erection firmness (no matter what stage they are on their recovery timeline).

  • Almost everyone I've spoken to using a pump regularly for rehab increased their pump usage and technique as a result of being in the forum. The forum also serves as an accountability and motivation system to boost your rehab activity, and the clinical literature shows that when it comes to erection rehab - more is more!

I'm 2 years post prostate surgery and nothing has worked so far - will this help?

When you've been constantly doing erection rehab strategies for years with no sign of progress, it makes perfect sense to be giving up hope and feeling unwilling to try yet another approach.

Other men in the same situation have joined the Hub and here's what they found: men who understand, have been there themselves, and in many cases, gained new strategies that helped them finally get a 'win'.

We even have a popular discussion thread where a gentleman asked whether he should give up if there's no progress at the 2-year mark post-prostate surgery. Other men are constantly chiming in and adding their own stories of what erection and sex life restoration looked like for them to offer compassion, hope, and inspiration for this scenario.

In short, if that type of support sounds helpful to you, that's what you'll find here.

I'm early days post prostate surgery, is this the right time to join the forum?

Straight after prostate surgery, there are a lot of priorities at play - to completely recover from the surgery, while also concentrating on continence recovery, and setting up a penile rehab regime.

If you haven't already, start with our free penile rehab course for clear guidance through the principles and options for erection health optimisation.

Once you've got a routine going, it's then a great time to join the forum to optimise, learn from others, and help you stay motivated with your rehab.

I'm in a sexless marriage, is the Hub just for sexually active people?

Not at all. Many members are working on their rehabilitation alone (either single or partnered) and have benefited from the Hub.

In fact, if you want to hear how others in a sexless marriage manage this dynamic, you can privately discuss that in the forum.

You might learn new communication strategies from others and find camaraderie from those in the same boat.

Can I really get access to everything in the Hub and just cancel after one month if I want to?

YES! There's no strings attached, or weird lock-in contracts, or cancellation fees here. You can sign up and then easily cancel through your account, so you just pay for one month.

We know that sexual recovery is non-linear, so you might need the Hub at different stages of recovery for different amounts of time, and this system is here to reflect that nature.

Why is this charged in USA Dollars? What's the price in Australia Dollars/ UK Pounds?

A Touchy Subject is a global business and the majority of our audience is based in the United States. Therefore we are using US Dollars.

Unfortunately at this time, we are only able to process payments in one currency.

Currency conversion changes on a daily basis.

To see today's rate for Australia Dollars click here.

To see today's rate for UK Pounds click here.

Is it easy to cancel my subscription? Do I get charged for cancelling?

It's very easy to cancel, follow the steps in our how-to guide.

When you cancel, you will not be charged for the following month or year onwards. There is no cancellation fee, and you can rejoin again at any time.

What time do you have the webinars?

The webinars are either run at 6pm or 7pm AEST or, at 9am or 10am AEST.

(AEST = Melbourne Australia timezone: convert to your timezone here)

I'm hoping this timeframe will capture a lot of the audience, but of course, being global, it won't be possible to always capture everyone.

You will still be able to ask questions for the guest to answer before the webinar, and have access to the replay afterward.

Our monthly group sessions alternate between the morning and evening in Melbourne, Australia - again, hopefully to capture as many timezones as possible!

What will appear on my bank statement?

You will see 'A TOUCHY SUBJECT' on your bank/card statement after purchasing.

Is it safe to pay online? I'm cautious about entering my card details on websites.

That caution is sensible, and you're not alone in feeling it.

Payment is handled through Podia, the established platform that hosts the Hub, using a secure encrypted checkout. I never see or store your card details.

If you'd rather not enter card details online at all, choose PayPal at checkout: your details stay with PayPal and are never entered on this website.

It's easy to cancel the subscription yourself anytime, no cancellation fees, no hidden costs.
