LIVE DEMO: Vacurect Pump Correct Technique
Correct Technique is CRUCIAL to getting the erections you want from pumping.
(Top Tip: You can speed up and slow down the video by moving your cursor over the video, then clicking the gear icon ⚙️ and pressing 'Speed')
In this video, Jack guides you through how to use the Vacurect correctly:
How to get even engorgement through the penis (including the tip).
How to avoid 'base bulge' and 'testicle suck up'.
How to make sure you're getting the best possible erection from your Vacurect.
Follow along with the demonstration video, and read the step-by-step instructions below.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Shave or trim your pubic hair (this creates a better seal between the ring opening and base of the groin).
Lubricate penis with water-based lubricant (be generous!).
Stroke/'Warm-up' your penis before pumping. This can help with the result (see this lesson for the technique).
Attach the ring size you want to use on the Vacurect cylinder opening (see this lesson on how to choose the ring size)
Place just the tip of the penis in the ring opening. Hold the cylinder away from your body. Pump once to slowly draw the penis in.
Leave pauses (5-6 seconds) between pumps to allow blood to flow gradually, you'll see the pressure draw blood in even when you're not pumping (going slowly like this is important to prevent bruising).
Stop when your penis is engorged. This will look different for everyone. Listen to your body to know when to stop (do not pump past the point where it feels uncomfortable or painful).
Take the cylinder off the ring opening. If your erection is a bit stuck in the tube (like the demonstrators) you can release some air by putting a finger between your penis and the tube to break the seal (lots of lubricant on the penis before inserting helps here too).
Voila! Erection Ahoy!
Enjoy your erection, make sure the ring is removed after 30 minutes (this is to allow oxygenated blood to freely circulate again).
Where to next...
If your erection isn't staying up after you take off the cylinder (you see it deflating slowly) then you likely need to try a tighter ring size. Head to the next lesson to learn how to apply and then easily remove a tighter ring.

If you have an engorged erection that's staying up but isn't very hard or stiff then you might need some 'erection recipe' additions, or to adapt your 'penetration process' to allow for softer-erection sex. Head to the next section for improving erection quality demos and ideas.
TOP TIPS:
"The Base Bulge" : If you're getting a 'bulge' at the base of your penis when pumping / less engorgement in the tip, as well as following the 'draw the tip in slowly' technique and holding the cylinder away from the body as demonstrated, you might also benefit from stretching exercises before pumping, and after you've got a pumped erection.
What Lube? You can use any water-based lubricant with the Vacurect (do not use silicone-based lubricant, this can warp the rings). The Vacurect kit initially comes with a lubricant, when that's run out check out our Lubricant guide in the 'Products' section.
MacGyvering! We're a big fan of the MacGyvering when using a pump. We've noticed that men tend to end up with their own unique 'Erection Recipe' over time that develops from applying the main principles and technique, and then trying out adjustments over time to see what produces the best results. Here, for example, Jack noticed that lifting the edge of the ring at the base to relieve some pressure and then pumping a bit more created a better result.
ABOUT THE DEMONSTRATOR - JACK
"I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the fall of 2019. I had a radical Prostatectomy in February 2020. This video was made in the summer of 2021. At this point in my recovery, I am still struggling with ED but am slowly getting the feeling back. I've not been able to get an erection hard enough for intercourse for more than a few seconds - other than with the Vacurect. I use the Vacurect every single day for penile rehabilitation, and when intercourse is on the menu. I am completely dedicated to getting back in the game, and I will. Keep the faith, boys. Check out the results I achieved one year later in my follow-up demo here..."
